HERE The jetty king himself. Nick Reygaert has spent most of his life searching for the weird and wonderful species that inhabit the southern seas. I’ve never met someone who is as content catching an unknown species from a jetty as they are a tarpon in the Florida Keys. HERE The HMNZS Thomas Currell lived its glory days as a mine sweeper for the Royal New Zealand Navy during World War II. It was brought to the Chathams during the crayfish boom of the 1960s and has since come to rest in the shallows of Port Hutt. We dreamed of casting to tailing moki in front of the rusty remains, but all we got was this photo.
